Three killed as lorry plunges into river in Ibadan

Three occupants of a truck died on Monday after the vehicle plunged into a river at Soka area of Ibadan.
The articulated vehicle, which was marked XA 626 KDG, was said to have skidded off the road into the river while trying to avoid a head on collision with a Sport Utility Van.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Oyo State, Sanya Adeoye, confirmed the incident, saying three persons in the lorry, including the driver died on the spot. The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Olabisi Ilobannefor, also confirmed the incident and the number of casualties.
The other occupant survived with serious injury and was taken to a hospital in the area.

“We have recovered and deposited the bodies of the three men in the mortuary of the Adeoyo State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan. The injured person is receiving treatment at the Ibadan Central Hospital, Ososami. RIP Issue.
