Real Madrid president Florentino
Perez has admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo is unhappy at the club - but
says he would not sell his star forward for ONE BILLION EUROS.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a
move away from the Bernabeu this summer, with Manchester United and
Chelsea among the interested clubs.
But Perez is desperate to hold onto the Portuguese superstar.
Unhappy: Ronaldo has been linked with a summer move to Manchester United or Chelsea
Perez told Marca:
'I will do everything in my power to renew the contract. He has two
years left on his contract, he is the best in the world and we would
like to give a boost to the team with him as a leader and an emblem.
'I would not sell him for 1,000million euros. We are not a selling club.
'He is a winner and he wants to win titles and Real Madrid is the right place for it.
Bored: Ronaldo did not play during Real's 3-3 draw away to Real Sociedad on Sunday
'When he said he was sad, he talked to me and I told him I would do everything possible for him to be happy.'
Ronaldo has been a prolific scorer
since his £80million world record move to Spain in 2009, netting an
extraordinary 146 goals in 135 games.
Big talk: Real president Perez says he would not sell Ronaldo for one billion euros
