Reality television star
Kim Kardashian recently
discussed her publicized pregnancy and bringing new life into the
world, specifically in regard to race, with African American boyfriend
Kanye West.
Kim K said she has no plans of the race card becoming a big issue in her household and said she will erase color lines.
"I have a lot of friends who are of all different
nationalities and their children are bi-racial so they've talked to me a
little bit about it and what to expect. The most important thing is,
the way I want to raise my children is to not see color. There are
experiences that you won't really know how to prepare for until you
really go through it but raising a child in general is challenging. As
long as you are open-minded and don't have any pre-concieved ideas of
how you are going to raise your children, it really keeps this broad
spectrum. Obviously, you want your child to travel the world and
experience different races and different cultures everywhere. So that's
really important to me." (BET)
A few days ago, she nixed speculation of possibly having her baby's name chosen.
"I don't know where that came from," Kim told E!, adding, "I
actually think it's cute. I mean, I think our name will definitely be
unique. But we haven't really picked a name yet." That denial mirrored
comments she made to "Extra" about the unusual moniker. As for whether
Kimye are expecting a boy or a girl, Kardashian said she plans to keep
that a secret too. "We haven't told anyone [the baby's gender] -- just
our family -- but there's rumors out there," the E! star said. "I've
seen it was on a [magazine] cover, like, one day it'll say [it's] a boy,
then another one will say a girl; we just laugh." (MTV)
Rumors and gossip surrounding baby KimYe surfaced online a day prior.
Mixed emotions greet reports that Kanye West is considering
calling his first child North. It's a good joke, from a slightly
unexpected source (neither the rapper nor his possibly even more famous
partner, Kim Kardashian, are best known for their self-deprecating
sallies, although the title Kanye is supposed to be contemplating for
his new album, I Am God, is said to be "half tongue-in-cheek"). And
North, who is due in July, would certainly be following in an
established tradition. Mr and Mrs Peace, Mr and Mrs Christmas, Mr and
Mrs Gallery, for example, sat down, had a good think and decided to call
their respective offspring Warren, Merry, and Art, while Mr and Mrs
Beach realised too late that a popular diminutive of Alexander is Sandy.

Earlier this month, Kim K was rushed to a hospital in fear of suffering a miscarriage.
Kim Kardashian was rushed to a doctor in Los Angeles on
Tuesday night when she feared she was having a miscarriage after
returning from Paris fashion week, Page Six can exclusively reveal. And
while it was fortunately a false alarm, Kim has now been ordered by her
doctors to stop overdoing it and get more rest. The four-months-pregnant
reality star flew to Paris on Sunday to join baby-daddy Kanye West at a
Givenchy show and dinner after, with guests including Frank Ocean and
designer Riccardo Tisci. But sources say that when the E! star arrived
back in LA on Tuesday, she was immediately rushed to her doctor in
tears.
